  1. Oh, wow, didn’t know this was the day. Happy birthday to your country, Mun! Offspring is darling!

    • And Kathy is back! Heheh, yeah, she complained that we’re too cynical to celebrate so she went off to an Independence day party at a friends 🙂 She looked so cute, I had to make her pose for me 🙂

  2. Munira, these are my favorites so far, hands down! Your girl is beautiful and your photography skills have captured these pictures of her in such a lovely spot, in such a perfect light. I hope she’s as happy wth them as I was to see them. Thanks for brightening my day.

    • I think they’re my favourites too, absolutely! But then, I’m bound to be partial 🙂 These days my sunny little courtyard is my favourite spot in the house…..made her sit there as she went well with the dark green of the plumeria behind her. She is never too happy being the subject of my camera which explains the slightly sheepish look on her face and her body language is so ‘get up and flee!’ 🙂
So I don’t know about her, but I’m sure glad I captured her enthusiasm for celebration. And your comment sure put a huge smile on my face 🙂

    • “Say” not “day.” Grrr. I’ve been gone so long I can’t even type anymore!

      • Hahah, you are busy living in the moment, I say enjoy it, without regret! What’s a typo here or there between bloggy friends? 😉

  4. Lovely portraits of the offspring!

    • I have vowed to take more pics of her, just like I used to when she was a little wee bairn! 🙂 But we share a camera, and she’s heavily into photography, so it keeps getting hijacked from me 😦

      • Good for you! I don’t take nearly as many photos of the children now that they are older. I have to remind myself. And it must be cool to have a daughter who is into photography. I’ve tried to get my boys interested but to no avail which makes me a little sad. But on the bright side, I don’t have to share my camera. You’re a cool mom!

  5. Great portraits and beautiful colours….. and a very charming and pretty offspring. 🙂

    • Thank you! The colours of that plumeria (we call it ‘champa’ in Urdu) are exactly those of the Pakistani flag, which is the reason why I chose this spot for her to sit for me. And that was the only shade of green she had in her wardrobe…..but we made do 🙂

Munira, how did I not know about this all this time? So many beautiful things here as I scroll down your home page… but she’s for sure the loveliest of all. Although, those giraffes are magnificent…
