Dusk

In a garden named after Gandhi, in the heart of the city….a remnant of a colonial past.

the light changed rapidly as the sun set…

  1. How beautiful. And when the light changed … wow! I can’t help wondering how this looked with the mist and the water spraying out, even though I have mixed feelings about freshwater being used for fountains.

    • Well, this fountain was pretty much non-operational, at least while I was there. Very few operational fountains in Karachi…..a city where half the citizens don’t get decent fresh water 😐

  6. Aahhhh, I love that you showed us the changing light on the stone work. That’s one of the magical things about being out in the evening, is watching that happen, especially on beautiful surfaces/scenes. This fountain reminds me of many we saw in Scotland — we’d get closer and see they were monuments to colonial wars, and then I’d stop taking pictures. 😐

    • Evening is my favourite time of day….I think I come alive then! A true owl is me 🙂 Glad you liked the post Lisa, but y’know, I didn’t realize at the time I was clicking that the light was changing so rapidly…
Your Scotland series was a pleasure to read 🙂

      • Hee, even better then, that you captured it accidentally! 🙂 And now I’ll be on the lookout for similar changing evening light when I take pictures at that time of day. 😉 So glad you liked the Scotland posts; it’s such a beautiful country, and over the month and a half I came more and more to appreciate how nice the people are (even if they seemed a little reserved at first)!
